GPA Midstream announces theme for 2019 GPA Midstream Convention

TULSA, Okla. (Dec. 20, 2018) – The GPA Midstream Association announces the theme for its 2019 GPA Midstream Convention is “We’ve Got This!” The 98th annual midstream industry gathering is scheduled for a return to one of its most popular event venues of San Antonio, Texas, April 14 - 17.

“The theme is more than just symbolic for us because we use it to set the overlying tone for the entire convention,” said Crystal Myers, GPA Midstream director of marketing and events. “Proper grammar aside, the saying ‘We’ve Got This!’ fits our long list of recent successes, ongoing priorities and ever-present industry challenges that we will be highlighting at the convention.”

Each year, the GPA Midstream Convention brings together more than 2,000 professionals involved in natural gas gathering, compression, treating, processing, storage and marketing, and natural gas liquids fractionation, transportation, storage and marketing, all with the common interest of meeting about, and making a difference in, the midstream industry. The three conference tracks – advocacy, commercial and technical – can help attendees easily find their respective topics of interest, and as always, they have full flexibility to attend any session and aren’t restricted to only one track.

“This 2019 theme speaks volumes about the outstanding support we get from our member company volunteers, the lifeblood of our association,” said GPA Midstream President and CEO Mark Sutton. “Their industry expertise represents the best of the best, so there’s a great level of comfort when we tackle an industry need as a group and get the reply back from one of our teams, ‘We’ve Got This!’”

The new theme will be prominently displayed in convention graphics and messaging throughout pre-conference and onsite communications and branding to remind all attendees of the rallying call that conveys a positive GPA Midstream voice of action.

GPA Midstream leads the industry in research, technology, safety, setting and adopting standards for natural gas and natural gas liquids, and working with legislators and regulators at state and federal levels on related issues.
