GPA Midstream recognizes individuals for distinguished service

SAN ANTONIO (April 15, 2019) - The GPA Midstream Association presented awards for distinguished service to several individuals at the 2019 GPA Midstream Convention in San Antonio.

Committee Leader of the Year recognitions were awarded to Jerry Gump, Linde Engineering North America; Elizabeth Hawkins, Targa Resources; Jaron Hill, Tapstone Energy; and

Adrienne Sandoval.

The individuals were singled out for the generous volunteering of their time, expertise and knowledge in leading GPA Midstream committee efforts in 2018 to the benefit of every member in the association.

Volunteer of the Year awards were presented to Ricardo Aguiar, Movilab; Diego Cristancho, Dow Hydrocarbons and Resources; Aaron Doughty, Phillips 66; Christina Eckart, DCP Midstream; Jimmie Hammontree, Williams; Patrick Jacobs, EnLink Midstream; Barry Keys, Midcoast Energy; Jenna Resnick, Antero Resources, and Jessica Tyo, Flow-Cal.

They, too, were cited for exceptional association volunteer committee work with an influence on matters important to the midstream industry.

"I can’t stress enough how important volunteers are to GPA Midstream," said association Chairman of the Board Bill Ordemann, executive vice president, Enterprise Products. "We’re a member-driven organization and we need input and involvement from within.

“I’ve never seen such a display of dedicated volunteer leadership that we have in this organization; it’s extraordinary. I appreciate everyone’s efforts, leaders and volunteers, because without their involvement, this association would not be able to function at the high level that it does today.”

The group was recognized during the convention's Center Stage Luncheon that was attended by more than 1,000 as part of the association's 98th annual convention this week in San Antonio.

GPA Midstream Association represents more than 80 corporate members of all sizes; most are U.S.-based companies, but the organization does have members across the globe as well. GPA Midstream members are engaged in the gathering and processing of natural gas into saleable pipeline gas, which are commonly referred to as midstream activities in the energy industry. As the primary advocates for the midstream industry, the association enhances the viability of natural gas, natural gas liquids and crude oil through research, technical, environmental, safety and advocacy activities.
